Community safety is a top priority for Nagmani Sharma. The SV-SHIELD (Stittsville Shield) feature is a powerful tool designed to help residents report non-emergency incidents and keep our neighborhood safe. Here is how to use it.
Step 1: Select Your Language
Visit https://nagmanisharma.ca/sv-shield. Start by selecting your preferred language from the dropdown menu. The tool is designed to be accessible to everyone in our diverse community.
Step 2: Categorize the Incident
Choose the category that best fits what you are reporting. Options include Suspicious Activity, Theft/Burglary, Property Damage, Vandalism, Unsafe Conditions, or Other. This helps the campaign and authorities understand the nature of the issue.
Step 3: Provide Location and Description
Enter the address or location of the incident. Then, describe what happened. You can type your report or use the voice-to-text feature. If you speak in another language, the system will automatically translate it to English for the report.
Step 4: Attach Evidence and Submit
You can upload up to four photos or a short video (30-60 seconds) to provide visual evidence. Once you have reviewed your report, click submit. Remember, for life-threatening emergencies, always call 9-1-1 first.
